The first batch of seven trains for Shanghai Metro Line 22, designed with the "Oriental Divine Dragon" motif, recently arrived in Shanghai from CRRC ZELC. After being lifted into place at the Dongjing Road depot, they have moved into acceptance inspection, commissioning and other follow-up work. This marks that Line 22 (the Chongming Line) has fully entered the rolling stock delivery and commissioning phase.

  The train officially rolled off the production line at CRRC ZELC on April 16. It is part of Shanghai’s first integrated bidding project combining "vehicle procurement with long-life maintenance," injecting strong momentum into Chongming Island’s entry into the "subway era."

  Upon completion, the Chongming Line will effectively integrate the island into Shanghai’s comprehensive transport network, expanding the rail network's coverage across the city.
