Recently, the 110-meter high-performance, high-efficiency dissociable and recyclable wind turbine blade, independently developed by TMT, has been successfully rolled off the production line at the Sheyang manufacturing base. This milestone marks another major breakthrough for the company in the fields of large-megawatt offshore wind turbine blades and green recycling technologies, providing reliable practical experience and robust technical support for the low-carbon and resource-efficient development of the wind power industry.
Previously, the company produced the world's first 86-meter thermosetting recyclable blade and China's first set of 82-meter recyclable blades, continuously promoting the iterative upgrading of recyclable blade technologies. The newly launched 110-meter blade adopts a carbon fiber and glass fiber composite reinforcement system, featuring lightweight design, high stiffness and superior power generation efficiency. Equipped with a full spectrum of eco-friendly materials, including high-efficiency dissociable recyclable infusion resin, structural adhesive and hand lay-up resin, the blade maintains excellent structural strength, stiffness and fatigue resistance throughout its service life. It enables efficient separation of resin and fibers after decommissioning, effectively solving the industry-wide bottlenecks of difficult recycling and high disposal costs inherent to traditional thermosetting composite materials.
This new blade further perfects the technical solutions and mass production capabilities for large-megawatt-class recyclable blades in the industry. Adopting reversible chemical dissociation technology, it realizes highly efficient material separation under mild conditions. The recycled, depolymerized resin can be directly reused in the manufacturing of hand lay-up resin products, epoxy flooring, and other products, while the recovered glass fiber retains more than 90% of its original strength and can be widely applied in glass fiber mats, anti-crack mortar, and other fields.
This technical route can effectively reduce the pressure of solid waste disposal from decommissioned blades and decrease the life cycle carbon footprint, aligning with China's Dual Carbon strategic goals. Meanwhile, it complies with international green regulations including the EU CSRD, delivering safer, more environmentally friendly, and more competitive blade solutions for large-megawatt offshore wind turbines.
From 82 meters to 110 meters, from land to deep sea, and from single-material recyclability to synergistic recyclability across the full material system, TMT will continue to uphold its mission of technological innovation and green development.
